Evoke Me
Evoke Me is an ongoing project that aims to photograph and document the contemporary shoegaze scene and its associated musicians using experimental techniques in concert photography. These images utilize ICM (Intentional Camera Movement), multiple exposure, and shutter drag to create an impressionistic textures that replicate the visual imagery of shoegaze and its related genres.
This is a long term body of work meant to document the genre’s scope and feeling by documenting the performances of up-and-coming musicians alongside genre monoliths. Evoke Me aims to capture musicians regardless of nationality, tradition, or age, as well as the genre’s unique synesthetic listening experience.
